TARZANA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Shots were fired outside of singer Chris Brown's Tarzana home on Friday, according to Los Angeles police.

It happened just after 4 p.m. LAPD said the suspect and victim became involved in a dispute, and that's when the suspect pulled out a "CO2-style handgun" and fired at the victim.

Jail records show police arrested a man named Markeith Cungious. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm.

The 35-year-old is being held in jail on $50,000 bail.

Investigators don't know if Brown was home at the time of the shooting or if he knows the people involved.

The incident comes after a shooting at Rihanna's house in March.
