Murder suspect in custody after police chase ends in overturn crash in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A murder suspect was taken into custody late Thursday morning after a brief police chase ended with a crash on a street in Hollywood and an SUV overturned onto its side.

The pursuit began near the intersection of Schrader Boulevard and Selma Avenue, and ended in the area of Las Palmas and Fountain Avenue.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that at least one person was taken to a hospital, but additional information about the injured was not immediately available.

The LAPD did not release the name of the suspect, information about the alleged murder, or details of the circumstances that prompted the chase.
