"It was breathtaking. It was absolutely unbelievable," said Alexis Nestor from San Juan Capistrano. "Never in Orange County in my lifetime have I ever seen snow fall."
"It was unreal, because it doesn't snow in Orange County," Mission Viejo resident Lindsey Southworth said.
At Rancho Santa Margarita, people took advantage of the rare occurrence by sledding, building snowmen and having snowball fights.
