Overturned semi forces closure of most westbound lanes of 91 Freeway in Cerritos

CERRITOS, Calif (KABC) -- An overturned big rig forced the closure of several lanes of the westbound 91 Freeway in Cerritos, snarling traffic early Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported around 3 a.m. near the 605 Freeway connector, according to the California Highway Patrol. Details about what led up to the crash were not available.

AIR7 was over the scene as crews worked to unload the semi-truck to move it out of the way.

Only the far right lane of the freeway was open, and the rest were expected to remain shut down for several more hours.
