The theft occurred early Friday morning at Allendale Park, located at 1130 South Marengo Ave. in Pasadena.
The footage shows a man with a mustache and goatee inside the equipment shed and snack shack where the gear is kept. In the footage, he is seen wearing a blue baseball cap and dark clothing.
"This space is more than just bats and helmets... it's where memories are made, friendships are built, and dreams take flight," the league said in a Facebook post. "To the person who did this: You didn't just steal equipment, you stole from a community of children who show up every day with heart, hustle, and hope."
"Thousands of dollars" worth of athletic gear and supplies were stolen, Little League officials said.
"We are able to still play baseball, the kids will still play," George Hasbun, a Pasadena Southwest Little League board members, said in an interview with ABC7. "We just won't be able to maintain the field and we'll have to gather some funds and try to get some new equipment for the field so we can replace all the lost stuff."
UPDATE: Police in Pasadena say they've arrested the man who allegedly stole more than $4,000 in Little League equipment.
Police credit surveillance video and public tips for the arrest of 27-year-old Freddy Solario Jr. He's accused of stealing the equipment last Saturday from Allendale Park.
Police say Solario Jr. has a previous criminal history. Officers were able to recover some of the equipment and power tools that were stolen.
