AIR7 flew over the crash on the 10 Freeway at the 15 Freeway interchange, where an oversized big rig heading eastbound struck an overpass.
Eastbound traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Milliken Avenue. Drivers had to use surface streets to re-enter the freeway at Etiwanda Avenue, according to Ontario police.
It appeared the overpass was partially under construction, with exposed rebar coming undone. It also appeared that the edge of the overpass rail was buckling after the crash.
The freeway remained shut down for several hours, but reopened overnight.
