The chain-reaction crash was reported shortly after midnight in the 900 block of West Olympic Boulevard, near L.A. Live. At least one person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, the Tesla driver ran a red light before hitting an SUV. The SUV then jumped a curb, striking two pedestrians and the food truck.
One of those pedestrians was pinned between the SUV and one of the food trucks. All of the pedestrian injuries were considered minor.
The unidentified driver of the Tesla was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, police said.
News video from the scene showed the SUV on a sidewalk, its front end mangled. An ATM kiosk was seen knocked over and a low-standing cinder-block wall was partially toppled at the scene.
