SoCal identical twins celebrate 90th birthday, reflect on their life together

TEMECULA, Calif. (KABC) -- There's no stronger bond than one between siblings, and that bond is even more special when you're an identical twin.

At 90 years old, Byron and Guy Kinsman still finish each other's sentences.

"It's really been a blessing to be able to... be able to stay together," they both answered.

Earlier this month, their families got together in Temecula to celebrate their 90th birthday.

"It is rare. And we just thank the good lord that we're healthy enough to celebrate it together," said Byron.

With their families by their side, they shared just how special it's been to go through life together.

"He was good in English and history and I was good in math, so I would take his math tests and he'd take my English tests for me," Guy said.

And even now, there's still the occasional question of "Who's who?"

"On the phone, definitely. We sound alike and so on the phone, people do get mixed up and even our grandchildren at times have problems."

Both men are thankful to be in good health and to be just as close now as they were back then.

"We've had wonderful families, we have had wonderful kids, never had a problem with any of them. Grandchildren, we've never had a problem with. So I can't say, you know, there's been change there. We've just been very fortunate."
