The crash was reported around 3:20 a.m. Thursday near Stadium Way past the 2 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic log.
It's unclear what caused the crash, but the impact caused the trailer portion of the vehicle to detach from the tractor portion. Countless boxes of french fries were strewn across the freeway, and crews were also cleaning up a diesel spill.
No injuries were reported.

The collision snarled drivers on their morning commutes, backing up traffic for miles and even slowing down drivers on the northbound side and surrounding freeways.
Officials initially hoped to have the freeway open by 9 a.m., but the estimated reopening time kept getting pushed back as crews worked to clean up the road.
By 11 a.m., at least two lanes were reopened.
