The incident unfolded shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday near Alessandro Boulevard and Indian Street, according to the sheriff's department. Deputies tried to stop that driver, but instead the suspect led them on a chase that continued on the 60 Freeway before moving onto the 91 Freeway.
The chase ended on the 55 Freeway at McFadden Avenue in Tustin after deputies used a grappler to disable the suspect's vehicle.
The suspect was taken into custody. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department says one deputy was taken to the hospital with injuries from the chase, but has since been released.
