At the event aimed at raising money for the RNC ahead of midterm elections, Trump spoke about the nation's economy and crime.
The president arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Air Force One before the event. AIR7 video showed him waving as he disembarked and headed to Marine One.
Trump's arrival by Marine One created a spectacle as some supporters gathered outside with American flags and hats to welcome him.
"I am very excited. I am somebody from California that loves Trump and loves his policies, and supports him 100%" said Kristin Kudrave.
Dozens of protesters also gathered near the entrance to the golf club.
"We do not support Donald Trump and his policies. He's obliterating government agencies that we need," said Carrie Scoville. At times, supporters and protesters clashed as they gathered outside the event.
Law enforcement maintained a visible presence around the fundraiser. On Sunday, a Downey man was arrested after he was allegedly caught taking photos and videos and "appearing to monitor security-planning activities" at the golf course.
Trump's last official California stop came in January 2025 following the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires.

Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a statement Tuesday regarding the president's visit.
"After more than 18 months of a delay, I hope President Trump's visit brings long overdue federal recovery funding directly to the families rebuilding after the L.A. wildfires," Newsom said. "This is an opportunity for the president to honor his commitment to provide these survivors with the funding he promised them."
Amid the political divisions on display outside the fundraiser, some attendees called for civility.
"If you're Democrat or Republican, we should be able to disagree with one another without harming one another," said Dr. Willie Green.
Following the Southern California event, Trump was scheduled to travel to Las Vegas for another speaking engagement.
