SAN DIEGO (KABC) -- It was a thrilling boat excursion for a group of people off the coast of San Diego.

The whales played alongside this Brink Expeditions Fishing Charter Boat for about an hour and a half.

The boat's captain said he's never had an experience like this in his 15 years of fishing off San Diego's coast.
