WHITTIER, Calif. (CNS) -- A woman suspected of recklessly driving through a park in Whittier was arrested Wednesday, more than two months after the incident was caught on video.

Madalyn Alatorre, 36, was booked on suspicion of felony and misdemeanor charges related to allegedly recklessly driving an SUV onto the grass in Sorensen Park in the West Whittier-Los Nietos area at about 11 a.m. on Nov. 9, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's officials said Alatorre drove the vehicle erratically with a male passenger inside without regard for public safety, prompting the response of Sheriff's Parks Bureau deputies.

The suspect vehicle was captured on cellphone video that was later posted on social media, assisting deputies with their investigation into the reckless driving that evening.

"Deputies spent countless hours of investigation to identify the suspect whose reckless driving endangered all patrons at the park in November 2025," the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Investigators executed a search warrant on Wednesday, where they located Alatorre and took her into custody.

A girls' softball game was taking place when Alatorre allegedly drove through the park.
