Woman hit by 2 cars in downtown LA, police searching for hit-and-run drivers

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are searching for two hit-and-run drivers who critically injured the same woman in downtown.

The incident happened Oct. 5 around 6 a.m. as the woman was crossing the street at Central Avenue and 14th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

That's when a dark-colored Ford Explorer struck her, sending her flying into the street.

While she was on the ground, police say another car - possibly a Honda CRV - hit her again.

Both drivers failed to stop and render aid as required by law.



The woman was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
