Wounded man drives himself to hospital after being shot near South LA house party

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A wounded man drove himself to a hospital and declined to cooperate with police investigators after being shot early Sunday near a house party in South Los Angeles, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 2 a.m. near the intersection of Budlong Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was listed in stable condition at the hospital, an LAPD spokesperson said.

A description of the suspect was not available, and the circumstances that led to the shooting were unknown.
