Jacaranda trees blooming in Southern California

FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Southern California is blooming with purple.

Take a look at the Jacaranda trees in Fullerton as seen by Drone 7. This species of tree originated from South America and was first planted in Southern California about a century ago.

All of these purple flowers blossom with June Gloom conditions when the humidity is higher, and temperatures are not too hot.
