3.6 earthquake hits off Orange County coast overnight, USGS says

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Orange County overnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit around 1:05 a.m. Tuesday at a depth of nearly four miles. Although it hit several miles off the coast, some light shaking was felt in the San Clemente area.

No injuries or damage was reported.
