HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspected gunman was in custody after a security guard was shot at a store near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue on Monday, police say.
Police responded to Shoe Palace located at the famed intersection at about 4:25 p.m. to reports of the shooting with a person down, said Officer William Cooper with the Los Angeles Police Department.

After the shooting, police said a suspect fled the scene north on Highland Avenue.
Officers set up a perimeter in the area, and by about 6:30 p.m., had one suspect in custody, Cooper said.
LAPD said the victim was in stable condition.
