SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- A Canyon Country man used the tracking system on his tablet to help deputies recover not only his own stolen property but also arrest a woman allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, officials said.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies say a Canyon Country resident had several items stolen from his parked car Saturday, including an electronic tablet.

He used the tablet's tracking feature to locate his property on Rock Rose Lane. He drove to the address and saw some of his stolen items inside through an open garage door, deputies said.
Sheriff's deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station went to the address and recovered the victim's stolen property from the garage.
They say inside the house they also found additional items of new merchandise that still had price tags attached. The woman living there, Jimena Dominguez, 35, was unable to explain how she obtained the items or provide receipts, deputies say.
