Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a shooting victim in the 6700 block of Greenbush Avenue at about 11 a.m.

Los Angeles police confirmed the incident was a homicide, adding that a man was outside of a home when a suspect walked up to him and pulled out a handgun and opened fire.
The gunmen fled in a car after the shooting. A description of the suspect was not released.

The LAFD transported the victim with several gunshot wounds to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
LAPD spokesman Josh Rubenstein said detectives are on scene trying to determine information about the suspect and motive.
"We really want to piece together what happened," Rubenstein said. "We are looking to see if we can figure out who the suspect is and maybe if there's some kind of vehicle. We're still trying to figure that out now."
