LOS ANGELES -- Now that the Oscars are over, the Hollywood glitz and glam goes on.

Dozens of winners and other celebrities headed out to the various after-parties all over Los Angeles to celebrate the end of a long awards season, often ditching their red-carpet attire for new party-ready looks.

Here's what you need to know about 2023's Oscar parties:

Vanity Fair party

This year's Vanity Fair party returned to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Stars began arriving even as the awards ceremony was ongoing, including Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah and parents John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen, who were enjoying a night out on the town two months after the arrival of their third child.

"It's the kind of party where you'd catch Sharon Stone giving Leonardo DiCaprio bunny ears, Meryl Streep snagging a photo op with Kate Winslet's Oscar, Kanye West congratulating Brad Pitt on his Oscar win, or Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak reuniting in the photo booth," according to Vanity Fair.

Governors Ball

On his way into the Governors Ball, Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel said emceeing awards shows is often described as a "no-win situation. I will say that I've not looked at the internet -- so far, I feel like it was a win situation."

He noted that "there were so many great speeches" at this year's ceremony.

"That's what really makes the Oscars -- when you tear up, when you hear people thanking their parents and having these beautiful moments," Kimmel said. "And then when they speak about things that are important and really meaningful." He noted "Navalny's" win for best documentary feature as an example.

"I just thought there was a lot of variety and a lot of great moments in the show," Kimmel said, adding tongue-in-cheek: "And, again, I was terrific."

Ninety-four-year-old James Hong, one of the stars of the night's big winner, "Everything Everywhere All at Once," attended the Academy Awards for the first time.

"'Everything Everywhere' won everything," he noted. "Although I didn't get any individual prize, I just got into the best picture."

Elton John's Oscar party

Elton John's Academy Awards after-party is perennially one of the hottest tickets in town, and this year was no different.

It was the 31st year the singer has hosted a viewing party to raise money for his Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Attendees included Tim Allen, Smokey Robinson, Christina Hendricks, Heidi Klum and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

"We see a lot of the same people every year (at the party) that we don't often see," Eric McCormack said before heading inside. "Like, Bernie Taupin's inside and we always have a first drink with Bernie and (his wife) Heather -- and that always blows my mind, as a 14-year-old kid who was listening to 'Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy' in my bedroom."
