According to the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department Twitter account, as of midnight, the fire spread to approximately five acres, burning mainly in thick vegetation in the 7700 block of Cobble Creek Drive, which is located close to several homes.

Investigators say there are homeless encampments in the area.
Though winds were light Tuesday evening, they were pushed the fire to the east. Though only a few acres have burned, there is a potential for 25 acres of river bottom land to burn.

No evacuations or injuries have been reported. CAL FIRE crews will be working on the scene through the night.
The next update will be after 8 a.m. on Wednesday unless significant fire activity occurs through the night.
