ARCADIA, Calif (KABC) -- It was a busy day at Santa Anita Park, but the horses weren't the only stars of the show.
The park hosted the Summer Corgi Nationals all day on Sunday.
The event brought pet lovers to the racetrack to see which furry, short-legged strider would be crowned the fastest corgi in Southern California.
The heats kicked off in the infield. Some corgis hit the ground running, while others got a little caught up in the commotion.
Organizers whittled down the field, with the semi-final and championship races eventually playing out on the main track.
