Comedian and actress Retta made a surprise visit to the Burbank Youth Vocal Arts Foundation.
Retta plays for the non-profit on Friday night's episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. She says it was a no-brainer to choose it as her non-profit, as she was in choir growing up.
The students even got a sneak preview of the show.
Retta is helping donate more than $170,000 to the students after her Celebrity Wheel of Fortune appearance.
"They're obviously very excited, and I really hope that we can get our communities to support art in public schools," Retta said. "There is never enough money to get, you know, students to their events, and to pay for costuming and what have you, so this will hopefully hold them over."
You can watch Retta compete against Joey McIntyre and Oliver Hudson Friday at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
