When ABC7 visited Samy Morsy's business for a report in 2005, turkeys were selling for about $55 each. The price has since climbed to $125.
In an interview, Morsy attributed the higher price point to an increase in related costs, including water and transportation.
Until recently, Morsy purchased about 500 turkeys to resell them to customers at his business. This year, he only purchased 100 birds.
