LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A judge agreed to dismiss a case against a man who was arrested after federal agents blew open the door of his Huntington Park home during a search.

The U.S. Attorney's Office asked the court to dismiss the case against Jorge Sierra-Hernandez without prejudice, meaning prosecutors can refile at a future date if they choose.

Sierra-Hernandez was wanted for allegedly ramming a federal vehicle during a protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in Bell.

On June 27, armed federal agents searching for Sierra-Hernandez blew the door off his home while his girlfriend and two young children were inside. Dramatic video captured the moment the door was blown off.

Sierra-Hernandez was not home at the time but later turned himself in. He posted bail and reunited with his family that same day.

During the operation, authorities also used a drone to search the home.

Huntington Park Mayor Arturo Flores later denounced the agents' aggressive tactics.
