Rodriguez was arrested Monday night while he was leaving a restaurant with a woman in the downtown area, according to the Burbank Police Department. A witness in the area called police and expressed concern that they appeared to be under the influence.
Officers responded and found Rodriguez and the woman inside a car in a parking structure. They then allegedly found drugs in the woman's purse and suspected fentanyl in Rodriguez's car.
Both of them were arrested.
It's the second time this year that Rodriguez has been arrested in Burbank for drug possession. He was last arrested in March.
Rodriguez was released with a citation and is expected to appear in court on Sept. 5.
The 70-year-old is best known for his roles in the films "Blood Work" and "Tortilla Soup."
