MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- It was a crazy sight at Pepperdine University in Malibu after an SUV crashed and submerged in a swimming pool Saturday afternoon.

A photo posted on Pepperdine professor Paul Caron's blog showed the gold Jeep Grand Cherokee halfway inside a swimming pool, located on Via De Casa.

California Highway Patrol officials responded to the call at the campus in the 24200 block of Pacific Coast Highway at about 6:30 p.m.

The driver, a 27-year-old woman, was backing up when the jeep jumped the curb, hit a fence and dropped about 10 feet into the pool, according to the CHP.

The woman suffered minor injuries, and officials said neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor.
