LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Space lovers got a front-row seat to quite a show Saturday, Aug. 30, 2015 when one of the biggest and fullest moons of the year rose into the night sky.
The "supermoon" occurs when a full moon or new moon is closest to the Earth, at about 224,000 miles. The next "supermoon" will occur on Sept. 28.
