WASHINGTON (KABC) -- Actor Anwan Glover is recovering after being stabbed in the torso at a Washington D.C. nightclub early Sunday.
Investigators say Glover was at Cafe Asia when an unknown person punched him and another person hit him on the head.
The American actor commented on the incident via an Instagram post.
"While supporting another band, at their show, I was involved in an altercation with some unknown people. While defending myself, I was stabbed. I was hospitalized and have been released," he wrote. "I am not a stranger to adversity and when shown hate, I'm going to spread love. I am recovering and will be back soon. My flesh may be stabbed but my spirit is unbreakable."
Glover, 41, is known for his role as a gang member in the TV series "The Wire." He also most recently appeared in the Oscar-winning movie "12 Years a Slave."
