LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Andi Dorfman is looking for her Prince Charming on TV as the latest "Bachelorette," and is using her legal skills to help in her journey.

"I started this saying I want a journey that's incredible, once in a lifetime, I want to find the love of my life," Andi says.

She's now facing a house filled with 19 prospective fiances. To help in her quest, Andi utilized the skills she learned in law school and put these guys in the hot seat.

"I'm used to kind of going there and asking questions that, you know, are sometimes off limits, but really get you the answers that you need, you know. I'm not asking somebody about the weather, or trivial things," she says. "It was important for me to inject as much reality into this as possible and, you know, I took the approach of just asking a lot of questions and these guys responded. These guys really put it out there. They told me their emotions. They talk about real life stuff, struggles, you know, trials, tribulations, you know, everything, and I think this is one of the most real seasons you're ever going to see."

One element of the season that is all too real involves the untimely death of one of the bachelors, Eric Hill.

"What happened is incredibly tragic, and it's something that we're all coping with, and honestly still in grief about. We're dealing with it together, but it's important that people know the Eric that we got to know and got to love and that's somebody who really just lived life to the fullest," Andi says.

Over the years, many past "Bachelors" and "Bachelorettes" have remained in the public eye after their seasons have ended. Andi says, not this girl.

"Oh my gosh! The TV world does not want any part of me, I can guarantee that. I worked hard to be an attorney, I put myself through school, and I just got started and I'm excited to get back to that," Andi says. "That's something that's insanely important to me and it's something I'm not giving up."
