WEST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Guns N' Roses is back, and the band gave fans an impromptu concert Friday night on the Sunset Strip at the Troubadour where the members got their start.

A limited number of tickets went on sale at noon at Gibson Brands, formerly Tower Records, at 8801 Sunset Blvd. Tickets were limited to one per person, sold for $10 each, had to be paid for in cash, and fans were given a non-transferable wrist band.

Once fans had a wrist band for the gig, they could take a walk down memory lane through the old Tower Records store where Slash used to work. The store featured a memorabilia exhibit, showcasing items such as the members' attire from classic concerts, original artwork and awards.

When word of the concert got out, dozens of fans began lining up near the front of the store hours ahead of time. It was the first concert of the year performed by Guns N' Roses.

The doors for the show opened at 10 p.m.
