Mark Wahlberg talks return of 'Entourage,' 'Ted 2'
Mark Wahlberg will mark June at the box office with his cameo appearance on 'Entourage' and his role in 'Ted 2.'

The guys from the HBO television series turned big screen comedy "Entourage" spent some time with fans Monday night, when they hit the red carpet for the film's premiere in Westwood.

"Entourage" reunites the familiar characters from the series, and, as is tradition, features dozens of all-star cameos.

One of those cameo appearances is from Mark Wahlberg, who also happens to be one of the creators of "Entourage."

The show was loosely based on his early experiences in Hollywood, and ran from 2004 to 2011, with Wahlberg serving as an executive producer. Wahlberg says he always felt it was just a matter of time before "Entourage" would return.

"I always felt like there was going to be a movie down the line," Wahlberg said. "People always complained that the show, the series, ended too soon, and the episodes were too short, and they always wanted more."

When Wahlberg and his producing partners started the series 11 years ago, it was his first venture into what's become a prolific career behind the scenes.

The best part of being the boss for the father of four is the work-life balance.

"It certainly allows me to work from home a lot more, which is really nice," Wahlberg said. "I get to spend more time with my kids rather than being on location and coming home on the weekends. I love it."

Wahlberg will be seen one more time before June ends, when he reprises his role in the comedy, "Ted 2." Seth MacFarlane returns as writer and director and the voice of teddy bear "Ted."

"It became one of those beloved relationships, so seeing them on their next journey will be really fun for people," Wahlberg said. "Hopefully, it's going to be a good summer."
