'Rising Star' finale features final 4 Sunday
Over nine weeks, the 'Rising Star' cast has been reduced to the final four. They will sing Sunday night on the finale.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- "Rising Star" started with hundreds of hopefuls sending in audition clips. They were weeded down to several dozen singers, and over the past nine weeks, the cast has been reduced to the final four.

They will sing on Sunday night, as "Rising Star" plans its season finale.

New Jersey rocker Jesse Kinch is one of four fresh faces vying for the "Rising Star" title. He's joined by East Coast surfer girl Audrey Kate Geiger, the worship pastor from Georgia, Austin French, and the Southland's Dana Williams.

"I think I deserve the title of rising star because it is something that I really, really love," Williams said. "You know, I have always dreamt of dedicating my life to music and, so, this has enabled me to do that."

"I have been at this literally since I was a little kid. I started playing guitar when I was 6 and I was performing in clubs when I was 11, in the city, and so I was this strange little kid performing in clubs at 11 years old," Kinch said.

He's not the only contestant who had an early start. Austin French has been training since he was 2.

"The thing that I came to do on the show is do what I love to do, and have America love me doing what I love to do, so that's my strategy," French said. "I'm going to continue to do what I do and love doing it, and I hope America falls in love with that as well, and we will see what happens."

"I believe in everybody here so it's really tough for me to separate myself from the rest of the contestants," said Geiger. "But I know that I'm unique and I know that I have the heart so I think that will carry me through."

Who will win? Find out when the final "Rising Star" battles take place Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC7.
