Shia LaBeouf ordered back to rehab after guilty plea
Sandy Kenyon reports on the star's sentencing.

NEW YORK (KABC) -- Shia LaBeouf resumed his role as defendant in a Manhattan court room Wednesday, with the actor pleading guilty to disorderly conduct for an outburst at a Broadway show in June.

As part of a plea deal, LaBeouf must complete six months of outpatient alcohol rehab, of which he has already completed three months. If he finishes treatment and stays out of trouble for the next six months, he will be allowed to withdraw the guilty plea and the case will be dismissed.

The 28-year-old "Transformers" star was arrested on June 24 during a performance of "Cabaret," starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams.

Prosecutors said LaBeouf started smoking cigarettes in the theater, yelled at actors on stage and swore at security guards. According to court documents, LaBeouf hollered, "Do you know who I am?" while being escorted out. He was taken to a police precinct, where he then spat at an officer's feet, according to the documents.

His publicist blamed the outburst on alcohol problems and said the actor has been in treatment since his arrest.

"He was belligerent, and he was falling over," one witness said. "He was wearing a blue shirt that had a huge tear in it."

LaBeouf was originally charged with two counts of disorderly conduct plus one count each of harassment and criminal trespassing.
