On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Franti announced his engagement to his girlfriend of six years, nurse and jewelry designer Sara Agah, sharing his engagement proposal video on his Facebook page.

The video, which features Franti's 2013 song, "Life is Better With You," is a compilation of dozens of short video clips he's taken of Agah with his iPhone during the last three years of their relationship.

Throughout, Franti captions every clip with words such as "you make me laugh," "you're a bit of a dork," "and I love all of you."

Toward the end of the video, though, Franti teases his proposal with a single shot of a diamond engagement ring.

In the Facebook post, Franti admitted that when he wrote the song three years ago, he hoped it would be played at his wedding. After all, Agah was his inspiration for the song, according to Franti in a 2013 Rolling Stone interview.

"At a surprise dinner I planned in Bali, I played her the song on acoustic guitar and then showed her the video," Franti wrote on Facebook. "Needless to say she was quite moved and luckily for me after getting down on one knee and asking officially, she said 'yes!'"

Franti fans may recognize Agah from the official music video of "Life is Better With You," which Franti directed as well.
