LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Whether you like to pedal, pump, or strike a pose, you'll have little problem finding your favorite as Los Angeles is one of the hottest markets for boutique exercise. But dropping in for a class can be pricey.
Many studios average $25 a session. One solution? ClassPass.
"ClassPass is a monthly membership for fitness classes so our users sign up for one month and that gives them access to all of the studios on our platform," said Ashley Lewis, ClassPass' L.A. City Lead.
Lewis says $99 allows you to take unlimited classes in any of the 200 L.A. area locations, with one caveat.
While you can go to an unlimited number of classes, you can only go to any one studio three times a month. The idea is that once you've found your favorite you can buy a package directly from that studio, and if you're traveling you may be able to work out in the 11 cities that are part of their reciprocal program.
Michele Santoro of West Hollywood loves cycling, barre, and yoga, but wasn't satisfied with what was being offered at big box gyms.
"I kind of have gym ADD and I don't want to commit to one place," Santoro said.
Chris Slevin, who owns Sweat Garage, says it's a win for him too.
"There are so many small studios competing with each other, and then we're also competing with large gyms so it really brings people into the studio who probably have never heard of Sweat Garage before," Slevin said.
There's a three month, a one month, there's even a one class option. A $19 stocking stuffer, easy on your wallet and also perfect for one of those recipients that maybe wants to take a pass on fitness.
