1 dead in fire at Lakewood home

LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's officials were investigating a fatal fire in Lakewood early Sunday.

Officials responded to a first-alarm fire at a single-family dwelling in the 6300 block of Henrilee Street around 4:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Investigators said there was a fire in or near the rear bedroom of the home and found one person dead.

No further information was released.
