SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting that was followed by a car crash in Sylmar.

Los Angeles police received a call about a shooting along Bradley Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Monday.

Responding officers found a man who was shot. He was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not known.

While authorities were investigating the scene, officers received a call about an incident nearby on Ralston Avenue a few blocks away.

Detective at the scene said another man was shot at the same Bradley Avenue location, kept driving and ended up crashing into several parked cars along Ralston Avenue, where he died.

"They could have been shooting at each other for all we know. They can both be victims. We don't know at this point," said Detective Richard Wheeler with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The individuals involved in this shooting were not immediately identified. The deceased man was described to be between 25 and 30 years old.

A motive for the shooting remains unclear, and the relationship between the two men were not known.
