Fontana police are asking the public for help to track down the suspects responsible for a violent robbery at a check-cashing business.

The heist occurred around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 16000 block of Valley Boulevard. Police say two robbers, one with a pistol and one with a shotgun, barged into the business and demanded cash and cellphones from those inside.

Police said a third suspect was waiting outside in a getaway car, described as a red, late 1980s Honda Civic.

The suspects took off with cash and two cellphones, authorities said. They were last seen on the westbound 10 Freeway near Sierra Avenue.

The first suspect was described as a black male adult, between 18 and 35 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds.

The second suspect was described as a black male adult, between 18 and 35 years old, approximately 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall with a heavy build. Both suspects were seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black ski masks and gloves.

The third suspect is described as a black male adult with a heavy build.
