MURRIETA, Claif. (KABC) -- A dozen homes in a Riverside County neighborhood were evacuated when a suspect in a domestic violence incident barricaded himself inside a home.

The incident took place in the 30700 block of Park Point Court in an unincorporated area of Murrieta.

Investigators said they went to the home around 10:30 p.m. Friday on a domestic violence call.

No one was hurt, but a man barricaded himself inside the house.

SWAT officials were called to the scene. Twelve homes were evacuated and several nearby roads were shut down for hours.

The incident eventually ended when the suspect walked out.

No shots were ever fired.

All residents have since been allowed back into their homes.
