VIDEO: Wisconsin teen basketball player impaled by floorboard

MIDDLETON, WI -- A 14-year-old girl was hurt in a freak accident on the basketball court. She was impaled by the floorboard and it was all caught on camera.

Surveillance video showed the 14-year-old falling during a game and sliding across the floor.

The girl then stays down because a piece of wood about 4 inches long went through her torso. She was taken to the hospital where doctors said amazingly no organs were punctured.

She's expected to play again less than a week from the accident.

Meanwhile, school officials tell local station WISC they don't know how this could have happened. Officials said the floor is fairly new and they working to fix it.
