2 shot outside Sizzler in Ventura, chase of suspects ends in fiery crash
Four people were taken into custody after two people were shot outside a Sizzler in Ventura, according to police.

VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were shot outside a Sizzler restaurant in Ventura and a police chase of the suspects ended in a fiery crash on Wednesday.

Authorities said the shooting appeared to have taken place in the parking lot of the Sizzler located in the 4000 block of E. Main Street at about 4:15 p.m.

Ventura police said two people were shot. A body was spotted at the scene by AIR7 HD, but police could not confirm a fatality in the shooting.

The 4200 block of E. Main Street was shut down as police conducted their investigation.

Police said they were pursuing the suspects in the shooting when a crash occurred at Telegraph Road and Cambria Avenue.

Three suspects were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital before being taken into custody, according to police. Their conditions were not released by officials.

A fourth suspect remained on the run in the area of Cambria and Saticoy avenues, but was later taken into custody nearly a quarter mile from the crash site.
