Two people died after an RV crashed near the Browns Canyon Wash in Canoga Park on Monday, according to officials.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the crash happened in the 8400 block of De Soto Avenue at about 3:40 p.m.

Officials said the RV struck a fence near Browns Canyon Wash and sheared a fire hydrant.

A guard rail kept the RV from crashing into the Browns Canyon Wash below. When AIR7 HD arrived to the scene, the sheared fire hydrant could be seen launching water into the air.
