GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) --The dinosaurs stampeded across Earth some 65 million years ago. Now they are roaring back to life at the Los Angeles Zoo.
The Griffith Park zoo on Friday held a "hatching" of some baby dinosaurs to accompany its animatronic exhibit called "Dinosaurs: Unextinct at the L.A. Zoo."
The exhibit features 17 animatronic dinosaurs and includes chances for a #SelfieSaurus and a fossil dig. It includes discussion of connections between the prehistoric beasts and modern-day animals at the zoo.
The Zoo's website also features an online Dinosaur Name Generator.
Additional 3D material is also available through a Zoo smartphone app available for free.
The exhibit runs through Oct. 31. Tickets are $5, separate from zoo admission.
