Suspect in pink sweatshirt sought in 2 armed robberies

Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect wearing a pink sweatshirt who targeted two victims in one night - one in Culver City and another in the Westchester area.

The first incident occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 10800 block of Galvin Street in Culver City. Police said a male adult was robbed at gunpoint.

Culver City police described the suspect as a black male between 16 and 18 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a pink sweatshirt.

The suspect, who authorities said was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, took a bag from the victim and fled southbound on Overland Avenue before Galvin Street. Police described a car connected to the incident as a four-door newer model vehicle with a spoiler on the back.

Another attempted robbery occurred about 30 minutes later, this time near 84th Street and Lincoln Boulevard in the Westchester area in front of Bristol Farms.

The victim in that case described the suspect to be a black male in his early 20s, also wearing a pink sweatshirt. The suspect made off with the victim's cellphone. A vehicle was not reported in connection with the second incident.
