LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- One person was arrested and several people were detained after a SWAT operation in Long Beach early Saturday morning.

Around 9:20 p.m. Friday, authorities received tips and calls regarding recent crimes in a neighborhood in the 1300 block of West 20th Street. When officers arrived on scene, several people began running from a home in the area.

Authorities were able to detain several people, but a few got away. During a check of the home, several guns that were stolen from another residence were recovered along with narcotics.

SWAT officers who also joined in the check then set up a perimeter to search for some of the people who had fled from the home. By Saturday morning, the perimeter was taken down and the scene was cleared.

It was unclear who the officers were looking for or if some of the people who fled were found.
