STANTON, Calif. (KABC) --The Department of Motor Vehicles experienced a system-wide outage that has caused problems for offices all over California, including an office in Orange County.
Customers were frustrated Tuesday morning because the outage, which started Monday, continues to cause problems. When the outage first started, the Stanton DMV was closed, and employees told customers to come back the next day.
In a statement, the DMV office in Sacramento said some offices would still have system problems, but that they would be open to help customers. Offices continue to provide drive tests, and employees can help customers with paperwork, according to the DMV.
"The department wants to remind customers that DMV online services are still available at www.dmv.ca.gov and apologizes for any inconvenience this issue has caused," the statement said.
