4 kids sought in beating of juvenile in Hemet on Halloween night

HEMET, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are searching for four juveniles who assaulted another young person on Halloween night in Hemet.

Around 9:10 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 3400 block of Mustang Way on reports of a juvenile being assaulted. As officers were en route, they learned the young person had been taken to a nearby hospital by family members.

During the investigation, authorities learned the victim was walking in the neighborhood with friends when a group of 15 to 30 other juveniles confronted the victim. Four of those people in the group then attacked the victim.

Authorities said the victim was kicked in the head and lost consciousness. When the juvenile eventually regained consciousness, they asked a person passing by to help them and call their family. The person provided help and the family arrived to take the victim to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities said anyone with more information was urged to call Detective G. Alvarez at (951) 765-2426.
