WHITTIER, Calif. (KABC) -- A 16-year-old boy has been identified as the prime suspect in a stabbing incident involving several males in Whittier Saturday night.

The stabbing occurred in the 8000 block of Washington Avenue at about 11 p.m.

Whittier police say at least one man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. He's expected to be OK.

Investigators say the teen and the victim knew each other and may possibly live at the same home.

The motive for the stabbing remains unknown. The teenage suspect fled the scene following the stabbing.
